“There are three forms of visual art: Painting to look at, sculpture to walk
around, and architecture to live in.”
To do justice to the Dubai Marina’s elite location and exclusive
neighbourhood, the design of the tower is striking with two coloured glass
rising mantel-like into the sky. A feeling of airiness is generated throughout
by the use of large open spaces that help to create a serene ambience.
The tower was designed by Hazel Wong, responsible for the design of the
Emirates Towers, which are visible throughout Dubai, who was given a wide
mandate to develop a unique form at this crossroads where the East meets the
West. The aim was to create a strikingly new icon with soothingly timeless
values.
